The Mid-America Toxicology Course has prepared over four thousand scientists for the American Board of Toxicology accreditation exam and served as an intensive introduction to toxicology for interested scientists over the past 40 years, earning itself an exceptional reputation. In order to reach an even larger audience, the course has been updated to a virtual format for registrants. The course is primarily designed to help people prepare for the American Board of Toxicology (ABT) accreditation exam, and also serves as an intensive introduction to toxicology for interested scientists.
The virtual version of this course has several advantages. A registrant can watch the lectures at one’s convenience as many times as one would like. All of the topics tested in the ABT accreditation exam are not covered in an in-person course but will be in this virtual course. The virtual course is also much less expensive than an in-person course as the registrant does not have expenses of transportation, housing, and dining.

Registrants will benefit from 40 hours of online lectures by Dr. Klaassen, access to 1500 lecture slides, and scheduled Zoom meetings with the professor and peers. This virtual course is based on Casarett and Doull’s Toxicology textbook, which is edited by Dr. Klaassen. Regular Interactive Zoom meetings will be organized to answer questions and discuss course topics. The course will also facilitate registrants to form study groups .
At $1,995, the virtual course is less expensive than the in-person course, especially considering expenses associated with transportation, housing, and dining.
