“Thank you so much for the course and everything! The toxicology I’ve learned this year not only equipped me with a solid foundation but also boosted my confidence as a toxicologist!” – North Carolina
” I prepared for the ABT exam using the course material from the course website. I am working full-time in a CRO with little time for studies. Due to all the lectures and course slides, I passed the test. I am a 2024 Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology, all because of the amazing lectures and course material DABT practice tests. I am thankful to you for making this course available.” – Ohio

“The course was very helpful for me. I have never taken a toxicology course before even though I am currently working as a toxicologist for a pharma company. The course was helpful to me, not just for the exam, but also for me to understand my current job better. I actually enjoyed learning the material, but the memorization for the exam was not as fun. I like that it was online, and I could pause and replay the lectures as needed. The notes were well organized and followed the textbook, so it was easy to reference them as needed. The monthly zoom chats were very helpful to me, although I wasn’t able to make all of them in person, I liked having the option to watch them online later. It took many times hearing you go over the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation before it finally clicked for me. The stats review was also very helpful.” – Massachusetts
My experience with the MAT course is that it is very helpful, and many topics covered by the course material were questioned in the exam.” – Florida
“The MAT course was useful; I did focus my revisions around your notes, the abridged version of the textbook.” – Belgium
“The MAT Course is helpful not only for the ABT exam. Also, help me learn lots of tox knowledge and very useful for my work.” – China
“The course was extremely helpful in my passing of the exam.” – Massachusetts
“Extremely helpful, lectures covered the important topics.” – Ohio
“Thank you so much for the valuable training and mentorship you have given us this year. I am very happy to let you know that I was informed a couple of minutes ago that I passed the exam. I really appreciate and value all the resources you prepared for us. In general, I may say that the exam covered most of the topics that are in the lectures you gave us (high emphasis in thyroid tox, toxidromes, occupational tox, epidemiology and renal tox). – Maryland
“I thought the MAT course was helpful in preparing for the exam. As someone who specializes in chemical risk assessment, the content on organ-specific toxicology was very helpful and useful to me. I also appreciated that each lecture included a discussion of specific examples of toxicants that are known to cause toxicity to various organs. Having an understanding of how various chemicals of concern (especially metals, pesticides, and solvents) affect various organs in the body was very helpful in answering many questions on the exam.” – Michigan
“I passed the Exam using this class as the core of my studying; it was super helpful and aided in understanding the Essentials of Tox text as well. However, I had additional study material as secondary. ” – Wisconsin

“The ABT helped me answer questions. Thank you, Prof; it’s well appreciated.” – Texas
“I wanted to let you know that I passed the DABT certification this year. I had registered for your online course, which was helpful in preparing for the exam. Your notes were especially helpful in summarizing each chapter of the book and in learning the relevant material. I relied on them a lot. I found the exam to be easy. Time was adequate too. I was able to finish in 3.15 hours. Thank you for all your help.” – Illinois
“I hope you are doing well and had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had the best Thanksgiving week because last week Monday, I got notified that I passed the ABT exam. Thank you so much for putting together all the materials for this course and facilitating the zoom discussions. I understand that moving into the virtual space is not easy, but all the resources that were made available have helped me prepare for an accomplish this milestone. I hope to meet you in person at the upcoming SOT meeting.” – New Jersey
“1) My main piece of feedback for candidates for future years is there is plenty of time provided to answer all the questions. One of my concerns before the exam yesterday had been that there would not be enough time to go through all of the questions (with 160 questions in 240 minutes, making 1.5 minutes per question, or less if you needed to take any unscheduled breaks. But in reality, I found that I had plenty of time to even review all of my answers a couple of times and still had time left over. So I would advise future candidates to not rush, but take your time in answering each question carefully and thinking about the best answer.
2) I found your previous advice on trying to rule out answers you felt were not correct to be incredibly helpful – so thank you. There were a number of questions where I did not know the answer, but for many, I was able to rule out at least a couple of the options, thereby hopefully increasing my chances of a correct answer. For a couple of questions, I even got my answer completely by ruling out options that I felt were not correct and therefore picking the only option that was left!
3) Yesterday’s exam was very mixed. It may, of course, be based on my background/experience, but some questions I found incredibly easy, some I could work out an answer to, many were very hard, and a few did not seem to make sense. For example, there was a question on risk perception where I did not fully understand the answers provided or know quite what they were getting at.” – United Kingdom
